It's been so long since I've been on here...years, in fact. I've having some issues with my teenage daughter and I thought of you guys. During her early years I would often come here for advice so I thought you may be able to help me again.
My dd is almost 15 and we recently discovered that she had had sex. She had talked to this boy a few times on the phone and texted lots. She went on a few group outings to the bowling alley with him. This was his first time to our home and they were playing on the playstation in the basement. My dh was in and out of the room frequently and this happened anyway! I am devastated. How could this be? She is on the pill due to migranes during her cycle but we did have her take a pregnacy test as well.
My concern is that her world seems to be revolving around this boy despite the fact that he has dumped her. She told everyone she knows what happened. I think it is an effort to gain popularity.
I knew the sex would eventually happen but I didn't think it would at 14. What concerns me even more is her behaviour. She has become quite a liar and the obsession she has with having a boyfriend is worrisome. I worry that she will continue this reckless behaviour in an effort to get him to like her again.
Does anyone have any advice??
