My middle son got engaged recently. She's a sweet girl. He did everything right in the way he went about asking her and the family, the ring. I am so proud of him.

We haven't done anything formal yet (e.g. engagement party etc.) but thought it was important to post.

Congratulations! That sounds so great. I wish my son would follow suit. He has the best little gal he is dating and I really wish he would settle down and get out of the parting stage. He's 29 and I think it's time to start thinking about tomorrow and now so much about how much fun he can have today. But that's just me. I know I can't make those decisions for him but I can wish. As for your son Northcountrymom, Congrats and ENJOY!!!

My mother has set a good example by being affirming of my marriage but not interfering - I'm trying to follow suit.
