Natalie's 18mth Check-Up
Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Natalie's 18mth Check-Up
Natalie had her 18mth check-up today with a new ped. (I've posted about her old ped before.) We really liked the new doctor a lot and felt much more comfortable with him!! It was a relief and I can't believe we didn't switch long before this. (The turning point was at our last visit when we got lectured about his version of discipline.) Anyway, Natalie is doing well! She's 32 1/4" tall and a little over 24lbs. She's a little one but very healthy. She has never been sick and I literally mean never. We've been very lucky for having such a healthy little girl. She HATED getting weighed and measured more than ever before. You would have thought someone was torturing her, poor thing. But she seemed to like the doctor...and the chalkboard may have helped, LOL. We're just happy to see a new ped that we liked and seem to feel comfortable with. Just as the healthy visits are getting few and far between!
Glad you like the new doc. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't like ours. Glad Natalie is doing so well! Helen hates the head measuring as well. Ame
I think it's VERY important to like your doctor. We switched pediatricians when my oldest was only a few days old because I didn't like how our original pick handled a possible umbilical stump infection. So glad to hear that Natalie is so healthy and that the visit went so well. I didn't realize she was such a tiny thing.
Sounds like she is doing well!
That's wonderful! What a relief you must feel now. Connor hates being weighed too. Last time we checked, he was about 30 lbs...he's a chunky monkey compared to your princess! Again, what a great relief...glad you've found someone you like. It *is* difficult!
I'm glad to hear she's doing great = ) As far as the doctor thing before Nicholas was born i was trying to decide what doctor to take him to i decided on one and took him there for excema(sp?) they told me to put adult dandruff shampoo on him (face and all) i was like i don't think so he will be better off with nothing my mom got tired of seeing his face be so affected by it that she took him to my doctor i went to since i was born out of town = ) and he gave him cortizone cream within 24 hours it was gone..luckily then i decided to keep that doctor = ) lol..
It's great that you like the new ped! Healthy visits are always welcome news!
