My DD is finally doing great with her potty training. She was tough, but we are in pull-ups and she is staying dry all day and using the big toilet (no potty) all day! (We haven't conquered overnight, but everyone says that takes longer... right????)

But, her BMs have gone down to two or three times a week!!! She was never an everyday girl, but, I'm a little worried that she's holding it in because of the whole toilet training!

Have any of you experienced this and how should I handle it???

DD has always been an every 2 to 3 day bm child. When I get concerned, I make sure she gets an apple and/or some apple juice and she'll usually go within 3 or 4 hours.

Yeah, i wouldn't worry either, now if it were once a week or something I would be concerned. You could try changin her diet to eat more grains. I know I can tell when both my girls have oatmeal in the morning for breakfast. Potty training didn't slow Hailey's bm's down so I don't think it is that. I tell you what I did for Hailey, She would go pee in the potty all day but when it came time to poo she would go in her pul-up or even her panties But I got her on the potty 1 time and made a huge deal out of the poo in there, and she was sold. She went in the potty from there on.

Oh and about the nighttime pull-up, this is what worked for us and you could give it a shot. We were out of pull-ups so I was like I am not buying anymore she is doing good except at night. So that night I put her in bed with panties on. She goes to bed around 9:30-10, I woke her up 12 (before I went to bed), and then I woke her up at 3:30 (when the baby gets up to eat) and took her to the potty. She peed and went back to sleep. She stayed dry. Then the next nigth I cut out the cup of milk before bed, and took her only once at 3. Now this is our routine... She eats supper, plays or whatever before bed and right bofor bed she pees and get about 4 oz. of milk (compared to the 8 she was getting)

I hope I haven't bored you with this, I just know how testing it can be, well not so much testing but it can really drag out a while. Hailey just now has started wearing panties only, since a week ago. She is doign awesome and I don't ever ask her to go potty, she just goes, It is great and saves me from buying diapers and pull-ups. I wonder how long Lauren will be in diapers...hmmm.. LOL, Just kidding
