DD wants to be Hello Kitty for Halloween but all I can find for costumes are fleece pants and arms, with a bright pink satin dress, and worst of all....a fleece head and face that perches on top of the CHILD'S head, so there are TWO faces showing...the cat's and the child's. It doesn't look cute to see a cat head and face on top of a real head and face! DD is also greatly displeased at the satin dress.

So, she is looking for a hat or headband or hood that is ears and bow only, and we'll draw her own whiskers on and use her own eyes and nose! She also wants Hello Kitty to be wearing the blue overalls she normally wears. Has anyone seen a costume like this? Do they exist? TIA!

Spencers should have kitty ears of all kinds, you can pick those up there. As for the overalls, why not get her some regular blue overalls, and decorate them accordingly? Good luck!

This wouldn't be hard to make. Buy a white sweat suit, hoodie type. Add ears made out of thick felt or floam stuff. You can hot glue those on, or sew. Make a bow and then find some overalls.

Thanks everyone...Kaye and Crystal had great ideas and I'll probably go that route. Target DID have a more normal one, with just a headband and ears, but no 'outfit'...just a white jumpsuit. I hate to spend $15 on just a white jumpsuit that I still have to cover with overalls and a shirt! Last year she was a SANDBOX. I thought being a licensed cartoon character would be a CINCH compared to last year. Sigh....the sandbox was easier!! LOL!
