My little 11 month gavone had her first McDonald's cheeseburger today! Of course, I had to tear it into small pieces, but she ate practically the whole thing! I can't get over it. She eats everything! She had some fries, too and about 3/4 of a chicken nugget.

My son had such issues with oral motor development and a wicked gag reflex, so this is just amazing to me. I guess it's pretty common, though?

I know what you mean, Ame. It is cool. I was much more appreciative of my dd's development since my ds's wasn't on target. Plus, it's just fun to watch babies eat "real" food!

That's great!! At this point, I would be happy if DS ate ANY sort of meat!! I'm sure he will...but, I'll just be patient and keep putting it on his tray.
One day you will see a post that is in capital letters and in red, blinking! And it will read "Connor has eaten meat!" LOL
He *does* eat a few pieces of that soy based chicken so I'll take these small miracles!
I think the problem was because my ped told me that he shouldn't eat "real" meat until he was 12mo. But, by that time, he had already had a "taste" for other foods.
I think it's great that she is eating everything though!! Isn't it amazing how different they are from their siblings? It's a wonder how they came out of the same place!! LOL

That is good. Just hope this this "she will eat anything" stuff sticks!

My dd ate anything at that age. And now all she will eat for a meal is a PB&J for lunch and either pasta or pizza for dinner....sometimes chicken.

It is nice to see babies eat real food and not the mooooshed up baby food.

Isnt it amazing on what babies eat. Faith has had quite a few pieces of her sisters Mcdonald cheeseburgers. It took my older daughter almost 6 yrs to eat a hamburger. Even then, it has to be only certain kinds. Faith seems to like everything so far, but I know that can change as she gets older.

My Alissa who will be 5 the end of Set. just started eating hamburg, cheeseburgs. She always wanted chicken nuggets when we went out then one day she tried my cheeseburg and loved it. But it took along time for her to try.
Alissa is not to big on meat, she loves chicken, pork chops and hot dogs, and thats about it. She loves any kind of pasta.
