I am always amazed and amused at how different my children are. My youngest is kind of a neat freak, maybe bordering on obsessive compulsive, just like me in this sense. It has to be exactly perfect or he just can't do any of it. So he is pretty good about always picking up and keeping things together, everything has a home, etc. Once that routine gets broken, it looks like a hurricane. Well, my other two kids are pretty natural slobs, the middle one can clean pretty good, but it isn't his first choice.

So today we took a movie day (it is 2 for 1 tuesday at the dollar show). So in return for 2 movies, i wanted their rooms clean and the 7-10 loads of their folded clothes out of my room! So I sent them on their way, my younger guys room is clean, so he is trying to work on the playroom. My dd and I set up to her room, she had mostly cleaned it a few days ago, but needed major help with laundry. She likes to rearrange furniture and is trying to convince me to make her room a cave, covering all the windows so she can have more rooms for books (with bookshelves). My hubby hates this, windows are important to him. I see both sides. So we are compromising, moving some stuff, leaving the big window open, letting the other two be covered by furniture. So we finish, amazingly no yelling, or fighting..woo hoo. I walk into the middle kids room, he has picked it all up, he has opened all of his windows shades (he has 4 big windows, there is so much sunshine it hurts my eyes and he is sprawled out by a window reading a book.

It is amazing we can all live together as a family sometimes! Only with the grace of God I suppose!

I have 3 DK's and they all have their own personalities. Like you said it amazing how we all live under the same roof!!

My three dks are all so different too. Unfortunately, the two oldest both have my dh's hoarding gene and their rooms quickly turn into wrecks. My youngest is such a neat freak. She's very particular about everything being in its place. She's also much more outgoing and upbeat than the other two. My oldest is such a helper and my ds loves to play to a crowd. Sometimes, I love to just watch them interact, without knowing I'm around, because their personalities are so much more obvious then.
