Good news
Lauren went back in to the doctor for a weight check on Monday and she is back up to her birth weight now! YAY!!! Just thought I would share and I am starting to feel more confident about feeding her now and she seems to be happy too. Just thought I would share. Thanks for all the support here and I am sure I will continue to need it!
That has to be sooo reassuring. I haven't ever had trouble keeping weight on my kids but several friends have this worry with their kids and I know that it's on their minds a lot. I'm glad that the bfing is going so well!
I am glad that you are feeling more confident with bf & that Lauren is doing so well.
Woo HOO! Good job! Be forwarned soon, probably in a week or two she will go into a growth spurt and really really eat, it only last long enough to shake your confidence, then it will go back to normal (3 days to a week). When you get past that it will be smooth sailing! Good job momma!
Now you can breathe a sigh of relief!
Yippee!! That's great. You'll find that in a few more weeks you and Lauren will really have your rhythm down and it will be so much easier. Congrats on the good news!
Thats great! You are probably feeling so much better!
That's awesome. I am sure you are just jumping for joy
That is good news! Kay is right though be prepared for a growth sprut, sometimes it seems like they want to nurse endlessly, don't get discouraged, we are all here to help if we can. My lactation consultant told me that I must nurse Matt every two hours until he regained his birth weight. I couldn't wait until he was back up there again, however, even after that he wanted to nurse every two hours and did for months and months. Hopefully you'll get a bit of a break and can space it out a bit. The other problem we had is one day he just decided he would not drink breast milk out of a bottle. So I could not go anywhere without him until after 7:00 p.m. until he was about 7 months old. It was a real drag. Everyone talks about nipple confustion, well let me tell you he was not confused, I wished I would have given him at least one bottle a day right from the start instead of just once a week. I will try it with the next one for sure. Keep up the good work girl!
