No Fear
I was giving Rylee a bath tonight, and she dives backwards and almost goes under water. I cought her before it happened. She thought that it was funny. She did it again, so I let her go as far as she wanted with my hand supporting her head. She stops, or slows down, when her ears hit the water. She is too funny. The crazy part is that she is not afraid to do this in the tub, but she doesn't like the pool. Then when I was done bathing her, I took her out and dried her off, put her diaper and clothes on, and then let her go. She ran back into the bathroom, and I went too so that I could clean up. I hadn't drained out the water yet, so she decides to dive right into the tub, clothes and all. I couldn't believe it!! This child has no fear. I died laughing. I don't understand why she loves the bath, but not the pool. I am kind of worried though, because she starts her swimming lessons this Saturday. I am hoping that everything goes ok.
LOL, that is so funny. At least it's not the toilet. Once Katelyn came running to me and said "mom she is in it", and I go in the bathroom and she is IN the toilet sitting there..clothes and all. I laughed so hard, she is a riot. I am sure Rylee will do fine at her swimming lessons, Do you think the reason she doesn't like the pool is because it is cold vs. the bath is warm?
That's what I am thinking Candis. I am also hoping that her seeing other kids in the pool will encourage her to like it too.
And Rayanne you want another little one...LOL Hope swimming lessons go great! She will be fine.
LOL... it is true that they have no fear. Christopher is the same way in the bath, he loves it. He is always dunking his face in the water for a second. He's never tried to dive BACK in the bath fully clothed though. That's hilarious!
Jen was that way. She went into the deep end of a pool when she was 2ish and started paddling, just like that. Her dad was supposed to be watching her while I played with Jeff in the pool and Jen just walked to the other end and jumped right in. No fear whatsoever. By that afternoon she was swimming underwater to me.
