During bathtime each night, Connor will grab his area with quite a lot of fervor...and you know his expressions...he looks like he's in distress! He squeezes then he stops and smiles and then does it again. DH and I take turns with the baths and it is SO painful to watch! (Especially for DH.) Is this normal? I know he's exploring, but Christopher Columbus has nothin' on this lil' guy.
Yes. It feels good. Plus in the bath there isn't anything in the way of his exploring.
Normal. Think about it, men really don't outgrow that affection for that area. Shane would pull and squeeze his parts so hard I'd cringe, but it wasn't hurting him.
yes normal. I have a 7 and 9 year old, I will let you know when that stops
I have read that it is normal for both girls and boys. My 9mth dd does the same thing. She constantly touches herself during diaper changes and in the bath. My What to Expect book says it's normal and I haven't gone wrong with that, yet!LOL I've read for boys that erections are totally normal and that they even begin having erections in the womb. I don't think you have anything to worry about!
100% normal. And I don't think it ever goes away...
Deanna, I'll attest to it being normal for girls! My daughter does it almost as often as my son (they're almost 3), we're constantly telling them that's only something they can do when they are alone, not in the living room!
LOL
Totally normal.........and as we all know, it *never* stops!
Very normal! lol Karen.
Way normal, just wait for the pee pee dance. When you 9 mo gets to be about 2 or 3 as a right of male passage, he will jump up on your bed naked, swivel his little hips and do the pee pee dance. The ultimate in little boy virility lol.
Thanks, ladies! Y'all make me laugh!!!
Kaye, I have a 43 yr old boy (DH of course) and he still does it, so I don't think you will be letting any one here "know when it stops!" LOL.
Yes, yes, yes! Raised 3 boys and they did exactly the same thing. And it floats and bobs around in the tub. It's a guy thing, baby guy thing, but a guy thing.
OH yeah! lol I think sometimes babies/kids/guys just grab it to make sure it's still there!
My husband still does the "pee pee" dance! hehe!
