What would you do?

What would you do?
I have been taking care of my neighbours little one, same age as mine for a day and a half as her regular sitter is sick with the flu. I ran out today and my mom stayed with the kids, my neighbour works close to home and I asked if she wouldn't mind coming home for lunch so she could feed her baby as I had to run out for my ultrasound. When I arrived home there was a thank you card on the table with $50. I don't want her money, my husband said thank her but give it back. They have snowed blowed our driveway many times over the last few winters and we are neighbours. I think that if I was taking over for a week then maybe paying might be in order, however, it just seems like too much money and I think I'm just being neighbourly and would hope that she would do the same for me and not expect to be paid. What would you do?
I would give her back the money telling her that it was your pleasure after all they have done for you, it was the least you could do.
I would tell her exactly what Jann said.
What Jann said.
Ditto Jann
I gave her the money back and thanked her. She came back later with an Easter Lilly, which I graciously accepted.
Sounds like a wonderful resolution!!
That was sweet
Sounds like the best possible ending. And now you know what to do if you have to ask her to watch your child for a day or so.
