Do your child/ren take vitamins?
I just started Kaitlyn on vitamins yesterday. They are the One A Day Bugs Bunny and Friends multi vitamin. She loves them, it's my sneaky way of giving her a treat. I had coupons when I bought them so I got a 120 day supply for $1.49! Anyone else have their child on multi vitamins? If so, what kind?
My kids take a gummy bear vitamin from Trader Joe's. I started each child at two and they never put up a fuss. They think it's a treat like Kaitlyn. My kids have also just taken the Costco brand multi-vitamin plus iron.
Both of my girls take Flintstone vitamins they love them and They think it is candy. Katelyn always asks for more and I tell her that we only get 1 a day and she goes on. Sometimes Hailey will throw a fit for more..lol Dh and I get a good laugh out of this, most kids want more chocolate... our kids cry for their vitamins.
My kids take the Target brand chewables. Just a note, toddlers are only supposed to take 1/2 a pill, I didn't know that at first. *blushing* I have trouble taking big vitamin pills, so I also take a chewable, as silly as that sounds.
Yes, Flinstones here, too and Lara does the same thing! She always tries to get one more. Actually they're pretty good! I had to sample one before giving them to Lara, lol.
Mine used to, but since we found out that our youngest is sensitive to food dyes we have stopped. I haven't been able to find a dye free children's vitamin. Anyone know of any?
Oh, and mine both loved the gummy bear type and the gumball type, but never cared for the Flintstone type.
And, I have also taken the Flinstone vitamins my whole pregnancy, my doctor said since I was sick they would be great to take (better than nothing) and since I am not sick anymore I have continued to take them, they are really good. I take 2 though!
My DD is on Poly Vi Sol- Not the best tasting...but some of the most effective. We use a holistic pedeatrician and this is one of there reccomended ones! She is 16 mos.
When dd was just a little over 2, her hair started falling out really badly. I thought it was my imagination but when my best friend mentioned it, I took her to the dr. Dr checked her for infection and lice/any infestation and some other things. Then said one of the causes could be poor diet. I could NOT get dd to take a vitamin. And she's not a picky eater but wouldn't eat much of anything. A friend of mine at church told me about these vitamins. It's a liquid that has a very citrusy taste and I could put it in her apple juice and she never knew the difference. Her hair started growing back within a month of starting the vitamins which have some amino acids in it. I loved it. I think Wal-mart started carrying it, but at the time I ordered it by mail. Sometimes they did. Sometimes they didn't. I did it in spurts, never very consistently.
Mine take Flintstones. They love them. Be sure to put them out of reach of little hands, though! :-)
We got these great vitamins at the healthfood store. They're called Greens Today Children's Formula. They contain all the required vitamins and minerals plus 72 food extracts as well as pro biotics. They are amazing! They're big, though, so I wouldn't try them for kids under three. Ame
Mine take a children's multi-vitamin every day. They love them.
I give my children vitamins from the company I distribute for. I trust them. They are more expensive, but I get WAY more for my money! They don't have dye or any other chemicals in them. When they are sick I also give them liquid from Whole Foods.
Yes. Rylee takes her vitamins everyday. They are the liquid kind that she has been on ince she was 6 months old. They smell and taste gross, so I put it in her milk.
DS takes the Gummy Bear ones you can buy them at Target.
My DD is taking Vitiball gumballs now, but she likes the Flintstones and Bugs bunny one a day better then the gumballs I haven't started DS on any vitimins as of yet he will be 16 months this month, I will start looking this weekend to find one that is suitable for his age(any suggestions?)I guess I never thought about giving them to him becaue he is big and strong , I give them to my daughter to get her to eat because she is so thin framed.
Letishe, ask your ped. for a pprescription for some. Rylee's doctor gave her hers. She has been taking them since she was 6 months old.
My kids both take prescription vitamins. Our insurance covers the cost that way
Mine doesn't, i never felt the need for them...do they need them? I mean he eats a balanced healthy diet and was breastfed for a long time so he is very healthy. However, i'd like him to have some of the vitamin D -the one that comes from the sun- because we live in London and the sun doesn't shine very often !
