So DH is out of town on business and both DD's and I have had some serious bonding. I fixed them dinner and made myself a side of sauteed spinach. As I did not think they would eat it I did not make them any - but my oldest DD said she wanted some - I had forgotten that back when she was smaller 2 1/2 - 3, she had eaten it with me everytime I cooked it. I said oh yes you did always like this - when you were little. She asked if her sister had and I replied well I don't know she was too little that was back when she was still breastfeeding.

Hope I haven't offended anyone but I was open with my daughters about nursing, I hope they too choose to nurse!

Anyhow - she then states I know what breastfeeding is. I said yes I know you were around when I was nursing your sister. She says "its when you feed the baby COWS MILK through your breast." !!!! I about fell over - Of course I then explained it to her but I wonder if she has always thought this? And to her younger sib. is allergic to Cows milk and she is aware of that so I wondered then if she thought that i nursed her sis. with Rice Milk? Kids are too funny it cracks me up when they state what they are thinking.

No offense taken at all. I nursed both my kids and they're well aware of BF. That's what they think breasts are for.
