When did your child start needing only 1 nap a day?
Kaitlyn is 16 months old now and is only taking one nap a day for the last week. She sleeps for about an hour but will not take a nap until DH gets home. Its a bit harder on me because now I have to work around her schedule again as far as getting chores done. So when did your child/ children start taking only 1 nap?
Right about this age...in the 15-18 month old range. They used to take a morning and afternoon nap, then only an early afternoon nap about 12:30 or 1:00, but they'd sleep for about 2 hrs.
All three of mine went down to one nap at about 12 months.
My 1st ds went to one nap at 16 months. However, my 2nd ds did at 10 months. It was a long nap and he went to bed at 7pm and slept to 7am, so it worked out okay.
Okay, so shes about normal. I always thought they did at an older age but I was wrong. Thanks!
It was very close to that age and she would take her nap shortly after lunch!! Really messed up my schedule. LOL
Right about 12 months for us too!
Same here for ds, he took a 2 hour nap starting at about 14 months. DD is 9 months old & is taking 1 2 hour nap an d 1 1/2 hour nap. When did your kids stop taking naps? Ds is 30 months old & is only taking a nap about every other day. He is really grumoy on the days he doesn't have one, but refuses to go to sleep.
My dks were closer to 2 years old when they switched to one daily nap. They all love to sleep though. My oldest took a nap after Kindergarten and slept 12 hours at night and my youngest is 3 1/2 and still takes a 2 hour nap with 12 hours at night. It gets frustrating to work around their naps when they become less frequent.
Way too soon. (At about 14 months)
12 mo for my youngest and 28 months for my oldest.
Emma just turned 1 and she still takes atleast two naps a day. Just follow what kind of clues she gives you.
