Teething?!?
By Jelygu on Monday, July 5, 2004 - 11:01 pm: | My seven month old has recently been waking up at night crying inconsolably (sp?). He isn't hungry, he is wet/dirty, and he isn't running a fever. I have to pick him up and console him for a little while, and then he eventually goes back to sleep. He isn't abnormally fussy during the day, and he naps just fine. I was just wondering if he could be teething and the pain gets worse at night? This is my first child so I have never gone through this before! Any advice would be helpful!
My 18 month old is going through this and yes I believe that is what it is. I give him Tylenol drops at night and he is waking up every 4 hours or so...when the drops where off. Try giving yours some pain reliever and see if he doesn't rest better, you can put a numbing cream on when he wakes up for immediate relief and that will work until the Pain reliever kicks in. Best of Luck!

I found that while she was teething I gave her Tylenol before bed and it usually helps and if she does wake up I put a little Orajel on her pacifier and give it to her and she sleeps just fine. (((HUGS))) to you, I hope your little boy gets better. For my DD it only lasted maybe 2 nights (I guess when the teeth were trying to poke through the most.)
