Never Underestimate Your Children
I was cleaning up today, and my son almost 2 1/2 saw the card my husband had gotten for him to give me for Mother's Day. My son had colored the inside of the card and handed it to me that day. That was really the only time he saw it, because it was on a table upstairs, and we spend no time up there. Today, when he saw it because I'd brought it down to put it away, he said, "Mama's Card. Happy Mother's Day, Mama" and gave me a big hug. How the heck did he recognize it, or even remember Mother's Day which was weeks ago (years to a kid). It really makes me nervous. How much stuff do they pick up on that we don't want them to? How do they actually remember these things! He does this a lot. Today I gave him apple juice, which he likes. He said it was his favorite. The he said, "It's Michael's juice" Michael is the son of a friend of mine. He had apple juice with Michael once! At least a month ago! Kids! Watch what you say and do - because for sure, they're watching you! Ame
It is amazing! Like they say, "don't say anything around a child you don't want repeated!"
Wow, he has a good memory!
