Spitting
I can not get my ds to stop spitting. He is 2 yrs old & has pretty good aim. He will get a mouth full of water & either drool it down his chin or pretend his mouth is a machine gun.
My 2yo dd is doing the drooling down her chin thing too! I've been telling her that big girls keep their milk, water, whatever in their mouths, but I don't know how much good it is doing. It's driving me nuts! Anytime I put her in a clean shirt, within minutes she is doing it again. She thinks it is so funny! Laughs and says she is a fountain! LOL, maybe!
I remember mine doing this a little. I would tell them not to spit inside. If they wanted to spit they had to go outside and we certainly dont spit at the table as it is bad manners. Worked well for awhile until the next phase of spitting came along... Little brother figured out spitting on BIG brothers was *really* a way to annoy them. ;) He did spit on the outside or IN THE CAR (ugh!). He took a lot of time outs when he was 2. LOL!!! Now 4 and I can barely remember half this stuff it went by so fast. Good luck. It really is true what they say 'Consistancy is the key'. He'll get past spitting and then it will be something new that he discovers.
This is so funny....both of mine are going through this and what is worse they are doing it to each other. I just take away whatever they are drinking and tell them that drinks are not for spitting, of course this results in a tantrum but I just ignore that. By the way mine do it outside too but they totally ruin their clothes. I do let them do it in the bathtub...yeah they drink their tub water...gross I know but I gave up the hope of stopping that about 4 years ago.
They will eventually get thirsty of you give them nothing to drink......(properly)
