Is this the beginning of the end of DIAPERS?
I know many parents say the kids will show an interest in the potty when ready to train. We have ours in the living room, but only let them sit on them when it's for potty, not just to chill. Today, while I wasn't looking, Shane took off his diaper, pulled the potties in front of the TV, and sat down. Then, he realized Maddie wasn't using hers next to him, so he helped her undo her diaper and sit. They didn't actually DO anything, but I wonder if this is a ray of potty training hope....
My son has been getting used to his since just before his second birthday. He has gone potty in it a few times. I just let him carry where ever he wants. I figure some time between now and 3 he will be using it. I was told they need to wake up dry in the morning before they are really ready. Has anyone heard that?
Crystal, I just laughed at the thought of these 2 toddlers, butts naked, sitting on their potties in front of the tv! Maybe it is the beginning of the end. At least they are thinking about it!
I was giggling too and picturing them chillin in front of the TV. Sometimes this is a sign and sometimes it's not. Each child is different and even these two will probably train at different stages.
Oh it is quite funny!!! I'll have to snap a pic next time. The one thing I have a problem with is keeping Shane from peeing outside the potty. I had to have Nate show me how to sit him down so his parts are all inside... LOL!! Thank goodness peeing standing up is out of my expertise!!
BTW, even cuter than them sitting is the little red rings on their tush when they get up... gotta love toddlers!!!
LOL My youngest DD liked her potty so much that she actually bruised her backside in the shape of the ring! She would just sit there and talk to her dolls and look at books for 45 minutes. If I took her off (I felt like a bad mom!) she would cry and ask for the "nice potty, Bella good girl, nice potty, pease" Broke my heart!
Did you get a picture to embarass them later? (like right before the high school prom)
Oh, we have plenty of embarrassing photos, including "reading" on the potties. LOL
