A great Mommy moment
Megan came home from kindergarten today with a "present" for me and DH. It was in a black folder. When you open up the folder there is a white piece of cardstock on the left and one on the right. On the right, there is an angel made out of handprints done in paint. And under the angel it says "love megan". A poem is on the left side and it reads: Sometimes when I am naughty and I get into things I want you to remember I am an angel who's lost her wings. They could be in that pile of toys or underneath the bed, I'll bet they're with the halo that I lost from my head. Yes, I'm your little Angel, as you will plainly see by these little Angel prints from the year 2003. *************************************** She was so proud of the gift and I was blinking back tears the whole time. I'm sure this is the best Christmas gift I will receive this year. It is perfect!! A great "mommy moment".
Ahh, that's cute. I get choked up all the time reading the things the kids bring home. My son brought home his handprint on a laminated Christmas picture this week. Here is the poem that went with it: Here is my hand So dear and so small, To hang somewhere Upon a wall. To show as the years Go flying by, How we have grown My hand and I. He is six and growing up too fast!
Oh how cute! Isn't being a mom just the best thing in the world? Here is a picture:
That is so cute!
That is really cute! Here's another tear jerker that caught me totally by surprise!! At dinner tonight Bradley (10yrs in 4th gr) gave me a medium size construction paper Christmas tree cut out. He decorated one side, I turned it over and it read: Dear Mom, You are the most important person ever. I never want you to go away. You always take care of me. With Love, Bradley 'I never want you to go away'??? I dont think he has to worry about me going anywhere. He also had made a neat ornament that he added to the tree and then he proceeded to hand out candy to the whole family for dessert! LOL They are so much fun arent they!
That is such a cute project. Definitely a keeper!
That is so sweet (It sounds like my 3 yo ~ losing her wings) lol
That's so adorable, Robin! I would've teared up too!
