you're going to yelp...I was saying goodbye to a friend of Connor's after school and stuck my head into the minivan only to find that his straps were on but the chest contraption was *at his waist*. As I was talking to the mom and making googly eyes at the little cutie, I gently moved it up, square to his shoulders. The mom noticed what I was doing and said "thank you!" but I'm sure she was embarrassed. I couldn't, in good conscience, let them drive away like that! ugh. His mom is such a good mom too...I tried not to let the "panic" show in my eyes, but my heart was racing. I hope she wasn't offended. Her son is best friends with Connor and I find her so friendly and fun to be around. Anyway, I thought of you as I was doing it too. LOL
Yikes. I hope she wasn't offended, too.
LOL! I can so relate. Unless people ask for car seat advice, I try not to say anything, but sometimes I just can't let things go. Having the chest clip too low is a common CPS no-no.
Yeah, I was hoping she wouldn't notice, but we had lunch over there today and she didn't mention anything. She is really nice...although I found it odd that her son refuses to drink milk and she gives him soda at lunch. She also didn't do anything when her son took toys away from Connor. I'm finding more and more that she lets her son do things I wouldn't, but it's just a minor personality clash. She really seems good hearted and has been through a lot with her older son who has autism.
