Today we walked ds to school today because dd wanted to go for a ride in her stroller and it was a fairly cool morning. He walked about 50 feet in front of us the whole way. He is in first grade now, so it isn't cool to walk with mommy. We got to the edge of the school where the gate was and he turned around, motioned for me to stop and said "OK, you two can go now, I don't need you anymore, have a nice walk back down the hill".
What a little turkey, I didn't know wether to laugh or cry. He caught me completly off guard. Just yesterday, I picked him up from school and he ran up and gave me a big hug and even picked up his sister and gave her a hug and kiss. What changed over night?

Cuz you're a loving mom! You're always there. As I used to call myself I'm too reliable, we are always there and they love you for it! Because of these little things we know we are doing a good job!
