Hol??
Just wondering how your son is feeling today? Were you able to get in to see the doctor? Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys that all is well
Thanks for asking. As a matter of fact, I just got home, and was going to post on another thread. Surprise of all....the Depakote wasn't making him sick. He had a "hot" appendix. They did emergency surgery tonight at 11:45PM. I sat in the surgery waiting room, trying to watch "jay Leno", while waiting to hear. It seems all went well, but we had been at the ER since 3:00pm.I'm home to catch a few ZZZZ's, and then go back. Now, he's due for some spoiling. I'm for that. LOL Thank you very much for your concern.
Let us know how he's doing! {{{{{{hugs}}}}}} to you all.
Sounds like the trip to the ER was a good call then. I hope he heals up fast and is back on his feet in no time... Big hugs to you all....
Wow! Quite a surprise all right! Good thing you took him in. Many HUGS and hope recovery goes well. Have fun spoiling DS.
I'm glad you caught it before it was any worse. I'm sure he'll love the spoiling part of this!!! Hope he feels better soon!
OMGosh! I'm glad that you guys caught it in the early stages! I hope that he's feeling much better really soon!!
I'm so glad that you got him to the dr and it was dx and he is gonna be ok. (((HUGS))) to him and to you too!
Wow! I hope he feels better soon.
Hol, how scary. So glad all is well now. This is a story you will tell in years to come but right now it is OK to cry a bit.
Thank you all, SO MUCH, for your love and concern. Mike is feeling much better, today, but the doctor is being cautious because he still has a 100.6 temp, and his white blood cell count is slightly elevated. He's a trooper, though. He is still hooked to IV, so he has to use the "pee jar", (which, I must say, is MUCH easier for a GUY, as we all know LOL), and he's a little bit embarrased about having to have someone empty it. He's only eating soft food, and doesn't have much of an appetite. Definately, NOT HIMSELF, in that dept. Hopefully, he can come home tomorrow. He was happy to see his Dad and brother tonight. I brought him some gifts today, and he was thrilled. I'm just glad that he HAS a MOM now to see him through something like this. Better than the group home, where he used to live. Thanks again, all. You are such a great comfort to me!
Hol, I am sure he feels the same way... Big hugs to you all. Hope he is home soon.
