School lunches, breakfast, snacks
How much does it cost for your child? We dont have breakfast program here, although the new superintendent is going to try to get one started. Lunch costs $2.00 for reduced and $6.25 full. DD will still have to bring a snack (it isnt provided by the school) and I think we are finally done with it for my DS..I hope! He will be in 4th grade this year and as far as I know, most teachers dont do it in this grade.
Wow 6.25 for full lunch, is that for the week or per day? My sons school offers a breakfast program but we dont do it. He eats at home for breakfast. But, some days I pack him a lunch, sometimes he buys it. We get a calender of all the lunches for the month, so he gets to decide if there is something on there he wants to buy. Lunches are are 1.40$ per day, there is a reduced lunch, but not sure how much it is.
I *think* it's $1.25 a day but I'm not sure. Both my kids have severe food allergies so I pack their snacks and lunches daily.
$1.85 for full price on a middle school or high school lunch. They get more options $.40 for reduced lunches $.30 for milk if you bring your own lunch Last year, it was $1.65 for the elementary kids. Not sure if it went up this year or not.
Full lunches at our elementary school is $1.25.
1.50 for 1-6, extended day K is 1.25, my kids won't touch the stuff.
Our school does not offer breakfast. Lunch is 1.25 per day and if you pack and want to buy milk, it is .25
No breakfast here either. And, this is terrible, I have no idea what lunch costs even though my son bought everyday. We had to pay upfront into an account and I just sent $50 every time they ask for more money. $50 would last, I don't know, 4 weeks maybe.
We do not have a breakfast or lunch program. Lunch is provided if a child needs it financially, of course, but otherwise everyone packs there own.
Our school has pizza day every other week. It's $1.25 a slice, I think. The also have juice and mild, and I think it's 50 cents. I order pizza for them, but pack their drinks. They used to have hot lunch days once a week, and it was different each week (KFC, pizza, subs) I'm glad they cut that out, because it was way too much money for me, with 3 kids ordering!
$6.25 is for a week per child. It use to be that we ahd to send in money everyday, we were not allowed to send in even enough for the week...had to be daily...unless you were in kindergarden then you had to pay by the week. This year we have Cafe Trac. We send in however much we want, by the week, month, year..whatever. It all gets deposited into an account and they have a card with a pin number. This is for 1st grade on up.
You had to have the money everyday?? My goodness, that would have driven me crazy. We also get to put the money in an account and as much as we want at any given time. Then the kids scan a barcode and it is deducted out of their account. Starting in middle school, the kids scan their own cards.
1.75 for lunch .50 for milk. I think reduced is a sliding scale. The kids also have "debit cards" and slide them and it is deducted from their account. WHen I taught K last year I had a parent concerned her daughter would be buying "milks all around". I thought that was so funny! I don't think they'd let that happen. But the thought just cracked me up.
Good grief! I have been a lunch supervisor at the elementary school my kids attended and I don't think they would have let any kid buy a "round" of milks! LOL!
1.75 here and my kid have the debit cards. We do fill out paperwork specifing if kids can buy two milks, two meals or not. I guess that keeps them from picking up a round or two
They totally wouldn't let them buy a round of milks because the cafeteria workers monitor the transactions. THat's why it was so funny. It was the parent that was worried about her daughter doing it and no one noticing. NOw that I know her daughter, I see why she was so worried too!
