Natalie is going to be Cinderella for Halloween. LOVES the Disney princesses in general, but has decided on Cinderella. Anyway, she got her costume in the mail yesterday, so we're re-enacting Cinderella for an hour in the actual outfit for a change. Later, when I was putting her to bed I said, "Goodnight Cinderella, I'll see you in the morning." She looked at me very serious and said, "Mom, call me Your Highness."

My dd went thru several princesses for Halloweens, Cinderella, Aurora, Bell, every year she wanted to be a different princess. I'm glad she's out of that stage....now she wants to be Hannah Montana UGH..

My kids did the princess thing one year! Actually it wasn't any special princess, more a generic princess. Emily had been to a birthday party in the summer and the mom is super-creative. She'd gone to the thrift store and bought some fancy dresses rather cheaply and then fixed them up a little bit, so they'd fit little girls, so Emily already had a dress. I found a dress at the thrift store for Sarah in a cream color and dyed it pink. That year, at Kohl's Department Store, they had hats and mittens with all kinds of jewels and sparklies on them, so they had those! (This is WI, after all and bundling up for trick or treat is often the reality!) Plus I think I put makeup on their faces, too. They were so cute!
