we had a long day yesterday ... went to the dr and i thought dd had a cold/virus type thing change of season hot cold weather ... well she has two ear infections really bad ... severe sore throat from nasal drip and sinusitis ... her head hurts and she nose bleeds bad ones ... dr gives us med and xray and lab work ... go to the xray she sneezes and blood spurts ... the rush her to urgent care ..next door and put silver nitrate on her ...she gets the xray done and she sneezes and she has the fourth one of the day the dr sees her again says well its controllable this time let her go home and relax ... duz anyone know anything to do about nose bleeds ... she is one step from being packed ... and on day 25 from missin school ... weve had a long bad year ....

My dd has nose bleeds up to 3-4 per day, the dr has given her some cream which i rub in to the end of the nostril 4 times a day it should help. Otherwise she has to have it packed. My youngest had it too but the cream worked. Its called Naseptin Nasal cream. Your dr may have an alternative as i dont know what med care is like in the us. Hope it helps anyway

My ds had very bad nose bleeds several times a week when he was around 3 yrs old. He also has very bad allergies. We were referred to an ENT and he suggested cauterizing his nose. He said that in some people their blood vessels are so close to the surface of the skin that they rupture with any kind of trauma. This is what causes the nose bleeds. The trama can be caused by just sneezing. His surgery was done in an outpatient hospital. It took about 15 minutes and he was sent home a few hours later. He was running around the house that afternoon. He has had very few nose bleeds since then and that was 2 yrs ago.
