We almost made it!!!
I thought we were going to make it through the winter without one trip to the DR. and only one minor cold to deal with. WRONG!!! I now have three sick children (out of four). They have bronchitis and/or tonsillitis. Fevers, chills, sore throats...you know the drill. 11 year old dd had dr appt today, had to bring along two other! I hate doing that, but the doctor and staff are really cool about siblings being seen at the last moment. Oldest dd will be out of school the rest of the week and trying to get my other two well so they can make it on Friday. They both have Valentine's parties. Keep your fingers crossed. Trying every precaution to keep other dd healthy and myself. Lysol spraying, hand washing, rubbing alcohol on thermometers, etc. Luck would have it that DH left for a long business trip yesterday. I am on my own for this one. I need some hugs girls!!!!
Hope your crew is feeling better soon! NOT fun, I know. We've had our share of flu bugs, colds and ear infections here. Yuck! I can't wait for SPRING!
(((HUGS))) I'm sick too, and so are the kids. I sympathize!!!
Must be in the world wide air! My 3 kiddies are sick too. Trying to keep myself and DH well. Good luck to everyone with sick ones. Hope everyone feels better in time for Valentines Day
Hope everyone gets well soon. That hand washing really helps!
OOOHHHHHH. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope all of you feel better soon.
That sounds awful! We don't seem to have this going around here. But my dd does have a slight cough and a green runny nose. No fever yet. Please tell me this is not how this yucky bug starts!
When I first read your post, I thought you meant DR = Dominican Republic. Oops....
Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about that. I hope it is not the flu. I have kept my sick kids separated from the rest of the family (we have a TV and bathroom in my big bedroom, and they are in there), and have been wiping EVERYTHING with anitbacterial wipes and lysol. My hands are raw, but it seems to be working. Of course, considering the contagious period of the flu, and the incubation period. I think I'm fighting a losing battle. They seem to like ICE CHIPS alot. You can have someone buy you a bag of ice, and give them to your kids (cups of ice last long). Also, I was stashing bottles of water in their rooms so they could just lean over and grab one. I hope you have someone who can go to the store for you. If not, call your church (or any church), and they will find you a volunteer. Also, if you live in a BIG city. Some grocery stores may deliver, or you can call your "shopping" in or do it online, and they will have it ready for you so you just pay and go. Good Luck. Prayers for you and your kids. Spring is coming soon.
