I have been looking for satin binding for a blanket. I have looked at the Wright's brand of satin binding but they don't have brown, which is what I'm looking for. Does anyone know if I can use regular ribbon for blanket binding? Is there another brand of satin blanket binding I can look for? I really want something satiny and it needs to be about 1 3/4" to 2" wide. TIA

I have never tried using regular ribbon but have heard people say it works. As long as it feels strong enough, it's worth trying!

I found this product at walmart in the wedding section. Its actually a thick 4 inch sash ribbon. Its by martha stewart i think it comes in 3 yard roles.
