Napkin in a scrap page?

Moms View Message Board: Arts, Crafts, Gardening and Ideas: Napkin in a scrap page?
By Reds9298 on Thursday, July 7, 2005 - 09:56 pm:

Does anyone know if, over time, a napkin in a scrapbook page will do any damage to the paper or photos? I wanted to include a '1st Birthday' napkin in my dd's scrapbook pages, but just happened to think of that. TIA :)

I just went through my wedding book (from 23 years ago) and I had a napkin from the reception tucked in with some photos. My intent is to create a scrapbook from that wedding book and make it look a bit nicer (now that I know what I'm doing in scrapping).

The napkin was in great shape, as was everthing around it - in fact, the napkin was still as white as ever, and still had the royal blue embossing with our names on it, beautiful and clear!

(Now, keep in mind the napkin hadn't been glued to anything, just tucked into one of the book's keepsake pockets.)

That's what I was going to do. I also thought later of Archival Mist???? Thanks Kay.

YOu could put it in a pocket protector (clear sleeve and seal it up. You could pack the napkin with acid free paper and then stick it on the page, as long as you have a photo backed with paper, you could overlap them if you wanted.
