Autism, PDD Great Story and Resources
Moms View Message Board: Parenting Children with Special Needs: Autism, PDD Great Story and Resources
In my local paper they have been doing a series on special needs kids and what parents are doing to make their lives work. This one was especially helpful because it described a number of kids transitioning with autism, PDD and other special needs to independent adult living. Many of us fear what will happen as kids grow older. This is one outcome many can live with. The article is called Home Full of Hope: Growing up with Autism by Alyson Martin (amartin@poststar.com). There is a video related to the story at Videos online @ PostStar.com. The article and resources are at poststar.com. Although the title says autism the article deals with kids and families struggling with several developmental and neurological issues.
Sounds like something that I would be interested in but I couldn't find it. I tried the link you gave but nothing came up.
Hi Kidcrazie: Link: http://poststar.com/ It will be a newspaper home page. On the lower left side are video listings. Click living with autism. It will link you to videos, resources, articles and a blog on the topic. Linda
Hi again Kidcrazie, Sorry, I left off these direct links to the key series of articles and resources. This way you can link to each article separately. Hope this helps.
