After 7 months now...

...I think (hope, pray) we finally have stability!!! Robin's been on a new med now for a week and he's been doing GREAT on it! His teachers say he's had a great week at school. He's compliant and cooperative at home. Sunday at church the children's church teacher said all the kids were roudy, but he was really well behaved. He still gets upset about things (who doesn't?) but instead of flying off the handle and loosing it for hours he gets over it within minutes!!! When I ask him to do something he now says "Okay" instead of grunting or throwing a fit. Pdoc told me a couple months ago when we got the right med combo Robin would be a completely different child. It's amazing. I'm really hoping this lasts. We've had good experiences for a few weeks or so on other meds, and then things go south. It's so weird because I'm so used to fighting with him and having him bounce off the walls. He's calmer now and seems happier. I even got HUGE hugs from him last night. Usually he can't be bothered to stop whatever he wants to do to spend a few minutes with me (or anyone else, for that matter). I just wanted to share our good news. Hopefully if this continues he can have some more inclusion at school. We'll have to wait and see.
That's so wonderful, Cat! HOORAY!
Yay! I, too, hope it lasts. It sounds very positive, though! It sounds like he also feels much better.
I'm emailing you!
I didn't get anything, Conni. Try cathyliz@bigfoot.com We're definately doing the happy dance here.
This is wonderful news, Cat. I can understand why you are so pleased. My six year old grandson is doing much better now too, and all of us are thrilled!
