Quick and Easy Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff 2lb round steak, trim fat and cut into bite size cubes 1/2 cup onion, chopped 2 cups cold water 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbs brown gravy mix 2 - 4oz cans sliced mushrooms 16oz sour cream egg noodles Cook meat and onions in a small amount of vegetable oil until meat is no longer pink and onions are tender. Combine the gravy mix and cold water and add to meat, cook for about 10 minutes or until thickened. Add mushrooms, stir. Gradually add sour cream stiring well after each addition (do not let the mixture boil while adding the sour cream). Serve hot over hot, cooked egg noodles. Serves 6 Notes: This dish takes me 30 minutes start to finish and my kids (ages 2 & 6) love it. I use Breakstone's reduced fat sour cream in this recipe with great results. It also freezes very well.
This looks good and it doesn't have too many ingrediants.
