Does anyone have a recipe for carmel corn that does not require baking in the oven?
I have lost my recipe .
No Bake Carmel Corn Ingredients 1 pint popped popcorn 1 1/2 tablespoons butter 1 1/2 cup brown sugar 3 oz water (about 6 tbsp.) Directions Melt butter in a heavy bottom sauce pan. Add sugar and water, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Cover pan and gently boil for about 4 minutes. Uncover & cook to the soft ball stage without stirring. Pour over popcorn & stir well. Spread out on wax paper & allow to harden.
Thankyou so much Colette
your welcome. I have never made the above recipe, I found it on the web. Let me know how it turns out because this Saturday is "Christmas Baking Day" Dh is snowboarding for the day, so I am getting ALL of my cookies and candy done on Saturday. that is if I get my shopping done before then.
I am making this tomorrow.I made rock candy all night and now I am pooped and ready for bed. My house smells wonderful though .
Where links are long I am breaking them up with a space - when you paste them in your address bar be sure to remove the spaces. Here's a no bake recipe: http://www.everydaycook.com/recipebox/candy/nobakecarmelcorn.htm and another, which seems similar: http://www.allsands.com/Food/Recipes/carmelcornreci_aip_gn.htm Here's a "kid friendly" recipe, which involves using the microwave: http://www.allsands.com/Food/Recipes/carmelcornreci_aip_gn.htm Here's a recipe touted by Tupperware which does the syrup in the microwave too: (long link) http://www.microwavecookingforone.com/Tupperware/ Recipes/TupperwareRecipesMicrowaveCarmelCorn.html Here's a bunch of flavored popcorn recipes from a popcorn site (their carmel corn does require an oven): http://www.coloradokernels.com/popcorn-recipes.htm I just googled carmel corn recipe
