Swiss Chicken
This can be done in the oven or the Crock pot. 8 chicken breast halves, skinned and boneless 8 square slices of swiss cheese 2 cans cream of chicken soup, undiluted 1/2 c white grape juice or water 2 c. stuffing mix 1/4 c. melted margarine FOR OVEN Arrange chicken breasts in 9 x 13 baking dish. Top with cheese slices. Mix grape juice with soup and spoon evenly over chicken and cheese. sprinkle with stuffing. Drizzle melted margarine over stuffing. Bake 350 for 45-55 min. FOR CROCK POT I do two layers of mixture. Half of chicken, then half of cheese and, then half of soup mixture. Repeat again. End with sprinkling stuffing on top. Can add margarine if you want. I don't. Cook on slow 4-5 hours if chicken is not frozen. Serve over noodles.
That sounds great & I have it in the crock pot right now. The only thing I didn't have was the white grape juice so I just used water.
It turned out GREAT! Thank you. I actually served mine with rice.
I'm trying this tonight but I didn't have my act together this morning *gasp* so I'm doing it in the oven. I'll let you know how much we loved it after it is all gone! BTW, is this supposed to be made with StoveTop type stuffing or real stuffing mix? I guess I'll find out!
I tried this on Sunday and we inhaled it. DH really loved it, one dk didn't but she doesn't like anything with meat in it. We had it with rice. Apparently, I was out of pasta! (Again, with the whole not having my act together thing) Just wanted to let you know that it was great
