Looking for Chicken Nugget recipe! (Kid friendly)
The chicken nuggets are one thing I buy on a regular basis that bothers me. My DD loves them. I only make them for her, but they are just so yucky. I would love to see her eat something a little healthier. (She's picky) I think the only way I can do that, is by making them myself. Do you have a good recipe?
I buy skinless, boneless chicken breasts. I just cut them up into bite size pieces. For the breading, I used crushed up saltines. Take an egg and mix with a Tbsp. of water and dip the pieces into that first. I crush up the crackers in a ziplock bag. After dipping in the egg just throw in the bag and shake. Bake them at 350 until golden brown.
Thank you, Nikki! I will try it!
I cut up the boneless skinless chicken into one inch cubes. Then I take lowfat Mayonaise and mix with some dry mustard and some onion flakes. Then in another bowl, I break up ritz crackers really fine and mix in some sesame seeds. I dip the chicken into the mayo mixture then into the cracker mixture and bake. They are so yummy.
Eve, go to CopyKat.com. type in keyword chicken nuggets. Up comes a recipe for restaurant style chicken nuggets. Sounds pretty good.
I bread mine by rubbing melted butter over them (I make chicken strips rather than nuggets) and then dip them in parm. cheese. They taste yummy.
I take the chicken breast and cut in thin strips. I just take chicken breast and coat with egg - them dip in breadcrumbs and fry in olive or canola oil. It is delicious even for me to eat. I call them homemade chicken nuggets. (chicken strips)
