Sloppy Joe Pizza -- Oldtime Childhood Favorite
Hi All! I was wondering if anyone knows the recipe for Sloppy Joe Pizza. My mom used to make it for us when we were kids (over 20 years ago) and unfortunately she has misplaced the recipe. I would love to make it for my kids. It was originally taken off of a box side from mashed potato flakes. The pizza crust is made with mashed potato flakes and the sloppy joe mix is put on top (it has a tangy flavor because of the worchestire sauce in the sloppy joe mix) and then it is topped off with cheddar cheese). If anyone has the recipe, please forward it on to me. Thanks a bunch!
I did see a tator tot pizza at http://www.oreida.com//recipes/theworkstotpizza.jsp You might be able to contact the potato flake manufacturer for the recipe.
Here is a receipe for pizza dough with potatos. I guess you could just add the potato flakes instead of the potatos. Potato Pizza Crust 3 cups cubed potatoes 1 cup flour Herbs of choice Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Boil potatoes until done and then mash. Slowly add flour. Mix together. Add herbs of choice. Spread out over a lightly sprayed cookie sheet or pizza pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Take out and top with sauce and toppings of choice. Bake another 20 minutes until done. kwvegan vegan
