Bread machine
I love home made bread but don't always have time to fool with it. But dh bought me a bread machine several years ago. I have tried the recipes off and on. I follow them exactly. The bread smells so good. But it always seems a bit tough. Does anybody have experience with the machines and ideas to make the bread softer?
BUMP I'm just hoping somebody might have some idea. More yeast. More liquid. More of something else.
Have you tried adding gluten? It helps make the bread softer, especially if you have wheat flour, since wheat is not as "airy". More liquids will also make bread softer, but too much causes it to rise too quickly and collapse while baking. HTH!!
