Have EXTRA YARN Special Project for our Troops - started by 12 year old patriot (little girl)

There are so many things that we could be doing but this little girl (or should I say young lady) is doing something so if you sew, knit or know someone who does or just can buy yarn to send her - please help her to give very concrete support to the troops). Susan Stafford former star of Wheel of Fortune is helping her collect it.

"A 12 year old girl named Peyton is knitting warm caps for our troops and their family members. If any of you have yarn you won't be using, please send it" to the Susan Stafford Foundation and they will get it to Peyton. Their mailing address is:

1775 E. Palm Canyon Drive
Suite 110-215
Palm Springs, CA 92264

"Everyone can do something and this is from the heart of a young girl who wants to help! "

Well my son got hold of this idea and wouldn't let me send any old yarn. He said we should get camouflage colored yarn which led to a discussion of war in the desert. Amazing spark. We ended up talking about jungle wars and desert wars. My son helped me to pick desert colored yarn for the soldier's hat. By then the cashier in the fabric department was a part of the conversation and we were discussing things that encourage our troops. All because of the little girl on the other side of the country collecting yarn for hats for soldiers on the other side of the world.

Are there things you do or know of others doing that would encourage our soldiers?
