I'm so excited.....Dh will be home in 44-48 Days. And the count begins!

Yeah for you!!!! I am so excited for you. It is so new for us that there is no need of even counting!! My dh just came home for a 3 day leave. (his last one before he goes to Iraq) I loved seeing him, but all of the emotions just flared up again when he left. It is so hard on my 4 yr old. I am so happy for you and your family.!!

(((Joelle))) I know its hard to watch him go. Do you know if he will be able to email with you? Sometimes those little visits are worse than them not coming home at all when you have little ones. I might now always check the boards often but my email address is in my profile if you ever need/want to chat.

Thank you! I believe he will be able to email when he gets there. For now, thank goodness for cell phones!! When you husband comes home will he be home for a while or does he have to go back. I am really excited for you, I know you can't wait! How long has he been gone??

he as been gone since late August. I'm not sure how long they are supposed to be here before they deploy again. He said he is submitting for new orders hopefully out of the country. I would love to go to embassy duty or even back to Okinawa.

I hope that it works out for you guys. I would love to live out of the country for a little while too. Sounds interesting!! DH found out last night that he is going to get promoted within the next week!! Yeah! He was a Marine for 8 yrs before joining the National Guard, but because of the time lapse he had to join at a much lower rank. So now he is finally up to where he left of at in the Marines! We are pretty happy about that!
